STATE AUDITORS AGAIN CRITICAL OF GREEN ISLAND'S FINANCES.(CAPITAL REGION)

In 1991, state auditors suggested some changes in village government's management of its finances. After finding the village neglected to act on several of those suggestions, auditors are making them again.

The state comptroller's office has released an audit critical of the way the village has built up excessive fund balances, handled deficits, reviewed spending records and checked on how gas is used in village vehicles.
